Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Seven to ten years of experience as a Production SQL Microsoft Server DBA and Database Architect for very large databases (over 1TB of data in a single database)
- Seven to ten years of T-SQL experience
- Strong skills in Windows PowerShell or similar scripting language for SQL Server administration and automation
- Superb troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Problem-solving and critical thinking
- Ability to multi-task and provide attention to detail
- Proficiency with MS Office and email
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred
- Extensive experience with Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, and Data Movement Technologies (SnowFlake, dbt Labs, Fivetran)
- Experience using community automation frameworks such as dbatools is a plus
Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) is preferred
